I started out working in-house at Livingetc magazine and have since freelanced for the best glossy magazines in the UK like Homes and Gardens, marie claire, Sunday Times Style and YOU magazine.   • Q&A sessions

    Inside the facebook group I give regular Q&A sessions where I answer your questions and queries and interview other creatives too. These sessions are only accessible inside the group.

  • Additional support 1-2-1

    For those students who would like extra support, additional advice and would like me to critique their portfolio work before heading out into the industry I offer a 1-2-1 service via zoom for £49 for a 40min session.

  • How long will the course take me?

    The course is comprised of six modules and there are a number of short creative tasks to complete as well as hours of narrated slides, videos and downloads to learn from. It can take you as little or as long as you like and your membership expires 365 days after you make your purchase.

  • What does 'self-paced' mean

    This course is a self-paced course which means you can stop, start and pause as many times as you like within the 365 days that you have access to it. You don't have to rush to complete it.

  • What will I need to complete the course?

    Just you, your computer, pen and paper and then when we start talking about creating portfolio images it will be objects that you have around the house that you can utilise.

  • Will you offer me feedback?

    This is a self-paced course however you will have the option to 'add-on' a 40 min zoom call with me to go over your coursework and critique it and offer feedback and answer and questions you may have. The add-on is only £49.

  • What are the course outcomes?

    1. A comprehensive understanding of the industry and how to become a stylist. 2. An understanding of the creative process all the way through from initial mood board to the final shoot. 3. You will understand how to create a simple portfolio from scratch. 4. You will be able to create a project in response to a client brief.

  • What won't I walk away with?

    You won't leave this course as an expert stylist. The only way to become a good stylist is practice, practice and more practice! I am helping you set the foundations, so you can understand the process of becoming a stylist. Being a stylist is a passion project and I want to help you start your journey!

  • Should I buy this course?

    1. If you want to explore becoming an interior stylist and all the industry has to offer, then yes. 2. If you feel stuck in your job and want to transition into styling, then yes. 3. If you don't have money to create a portfolio then I I will help give you the tools to create a portfolio at virtually no cost. 4. If you are already a professional stylist and wondering if you will learn anything new from this course - I would say that you probably won't learn anything wildly new here. However, it is always interesting to see how other stylists do it so I will leave that up to you!

  • Does the course have subtitles?

    Yes, all the videos are subtitled. The presentation slides that are narrated by me are NOT subtitled but the main points that I talk about are written in bullet points on the screen so you can understand what the slide is referring to.
